Iz loga se vidi da tvoj sistem koristi otvorenu verziju drajvera x11-drivers/xf86-video-nv, koja po funkcionalnostima i performansama zaostaje za vlasničkom (proprietary) verzijom x11/nvidia-driver.

Instaliraj x11/nvidia-driver i x11/nvidia-xconfig. Ne znam kako je sa tim GhostBSD forkom, ali na FreeBSD-u ovo možeš da uradiš iz paketa:
pkg install x11/nvidia-driver
pkg install x11/nvidia-xconfig

Zatim poteraj (kao root) nvidia-xconfig, što bi trebalo da ti generiše odgovarajući /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Posle restarta X servera trebalo bi da pokupi novi drajver što možeš da proveriš u Xorg.0.log fajlu (više nećeš imati NV nego NVIDIA).

Za iscrpne detalje pročitaj NVIDIA README.

Nego, nisam siguran da ideš najboljim putem, učeći BSD-ove preko GhostBSD forka. Preporučio bi ti FreeBSD pre svega zbog odličnog handbook-a.

Nisam, sad cu to da odradim. Tek se upoznajem sa BSD tj. unixovim sistemima tako da se ne snalazim bas najbolje.

Ne mogu da instaliram xrandr. probao sam da unesem username kao root ali se sistem pocne podizati i onda odjednom stane, nista se ne desava.

Pokusao sam ali nista neide. Koliko znam na Windos 7 je nivida 304.73 ili 304.83. PC BSD sad ne mogu da ga pokrenem sa USB-a jer ne mogu da skinem verziju za memstick tj. dd .FreeBSD sa kde desktopom sa instalirao ali i tu mi je bio problem rezolucije te sam ga obrisao. E sad, probao sam GhostBSD i mogu da radim ali nije to ono sto mi omogucuje normalan rad.. Kod mene je sada integrisana nividia graficka a ranije je bila AMD Radeon. U servisu su mi radili overkloking te mi je posle pola godine otisla AMD graficka, DVD rezac i 2GB RAM memorije.

Sad proveri. xrandr is poseban paket na FreeBSD-iju.

Video sam sta Ismet posla. Ja bih probao prvo sa PC-BSD-ijem live CD iz radoznalosti da vidim sta bi se desilo. Inace Ismete instalirajte ove porte/pakete

da znamo da imamo sve alate koji su nam potrebini. Bilo bi dobro prvo da znamo tacna model video karte jer je moguce da su neki od ovih driver-a protivurecni.

Ne znam sta su GhostBSD ljudi radili sa sistemom ali xrandr bi trebalo da bude instaliran sa XOrg-om. Vidi da li mozes da ga instaliras sa nekim paketom. Ja imam samo FreeBSD servere tako da ne korisim XOrg ni na jednom od njih. Imam problema da liciram tvoju video kartu postavi output komande

pciconf -vl
to bi trebalo da nam da tacan model tvoje video karte. Kada to nadjemo onda cemo videti koja je maksimalna rezolucija po specifikaciji i sa kojim driver-om. Ljudi iz FreeBSD tabora obicno koriste proprietary driver sa tom kartom. Sa FreeBSD foruma cemo naci template xorg.conf fijla jer je tvoje pitanje dosta cest.

Postoji takodje opcija da boot-ujes svoj system sa PC-BSD i vidis koju rezoluciju ce PC-BSD prepoznati.

Iz mog iskustva sa rezolucijom na ThinkPad ponekad je dovoljno uvecati refreshing rates da bi se dobila bolja rezolucija. Takodje u tvom slucaju moguce je da driver koji moze da postigne rezoluciju koju zelis, dostupan samo za Windows.

Uzgred budi receno taj komputer ima toliko tog NVidia sranja (NVidia je izuzetno neprijateljska prema Open Source ljudima) da sam potpuno iznenadjen da ostale stvari rade.
