Pored novog NetBSD 6.1 izdanja, izdato je i 6.0.2 izdanje; razlika je da 6.0.2 predstavlja nastavak 6.0 grane sa sigurnosnim ispravkama i drugim zakrpama, dok 6.1 pored tih ispravki i zakrpa sadrzi jos i nove funkcije i mogucnosti koje nisu dostupne u 6.0.2 i ranijim.

      The amd64 port now supports dtrace. (Not compiled in by default)
    xen:
      Prevent a memory corruption issue that locks up a Xen DomU, and can potentially cause file system corruption. (PR#47056, PR#47057)
      Fix: Xen Dom0 NetBSD kernel could crash by adding duplicate xenwatches.
Userland fixes
    Library Updates
      pthread(3): libpthread minor number was bumped for the addition of pthread_cond_setclock(). Threaded binaries built on NetBSD 6.1 will not function on NetBSD 6.0.
      pthread(3): libpthread can be dlopen()ed again.
      terminfo(3): Various fixes to libterminfo.
      libc: fix memory corruption in rpc. (PR#13082)
      libutil: Fixed a bug in parsedate(3) where it would treat all input as if it were in the local time zone.
    Update to tzdata2013c.
    cdb: don't refuse to open databases without entries or keys.
    Address graphics corruption in recent Cairo, manifested most commonly by certain rendered text sections appearing as solid rectangular blocks of color.

Jos jedan tromesecni izvestaj o desavanjima vezano za FreeBSD u periodu od januara do marta 2013. Izdvojio bih:

--> polako se u 10-CURRENT formira podrska za KMS za AMD graficke;

--> podrska za Multipath TCP (MPTCP), u isvestaju se navodi da ce uskoro biti izdat tehnicki izvestaj o tome a posto sam video da je u medjuvremenu izdat evo linka:

Naravno MPTCP ce biti izdat pod BSD licencom. Kod tek treba da se prebaci u FreeBSD repo i trenutno je u alfa je izdanju.

--> Port UDF fajl sistema (koristi se na DVD i Blue ray diskovima) iz NetBSD. Za sada je podrska samo read-only ali ima poboljsanja u odnosu na original.

--> Novi iSCSI stek, koliko se secam ranije je FreeBSD koristio iSCSI target podrsku iz NetBSD, pa je imao svoju, a ovo je izgleda izmenjeno novo izdanje. U zadnje vreme se malo igram sa iSCSI pa cu testirati povezivanje na NetBSD target.

--> Poboljsanje za ARM; nekoliko unosa: pocetna podrska za Allwinner A10 SoC, i neke druge stvari vezano za ARM v7 kao npr. to da je sada Clang podrazumevani kompajler za ARM i da postoji pocetna podrska za Cubieboard i Hackberry.

This report covers FreeBSD-related projects between January and March 2013. This is the first of four reports planned for 2013.

Highlights from this status report include the busy preparations of 8.4-RELEASE, restoration of binary package building, steady progress of several porting efforts, like work on the FreeBSD ports of xorg, GNOME, KDE, and Xfce, bringing FreeBSD to Cubieboard and Hackberry boards, development of ARM and AMD GPU support, improving performance of UFS/FFS and callouts, and introducing a multipath TCP implementation for the network stack.

U Srbiji je XPS 13 ravno 999 EUR + troškovi jednodnevne posete Beču - nećeš valjda samo otići po laptop, i odmah nazad, a da malo ne procunjaš po Beču? :)

Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition s preinstaliranim Ubuntuom vadi ovu temu iz naftalina otkako je dostupan i u Evropi :)

dobro je sto je tema izvadjena iz naftalina, i mene interesuje kupovina dobrog laptop-a....ovaj je izuzetan, znaci, ne moze biti bolji...ali cena.....posto li je tek ovde u srbiji, ako je u us-u preko $1500....ali opet, izbor ti je vrhunski, ako je i dzep...ja samo mogu da ti zavidim. :)

Hvala drugari, moram jos da sednem i zagrejem stolicu...sve ovo je mnogo teze nego sto sam mislio al necu da odustajem. Nazalos nije jos "ozbiljna" firma ali to nam je cilj da postanemo.

Uporni ako me dovedes do trece faze, dobijas CD 5.3, majcu OpenBSD, 500g Oreginal Turske kafe, Box malbora USA (ono sto je nekad bila 5ica), L domace, gajba piva ladnog, naravno nista bez $ al to necemo ovde.

Idem sad da studiram!
